Approved workflow automation for PowerSchool SIS.

Workflow automation on PSUG.pro is scheduled or event-driven SIS work that a district explicitly enables: attendance and enrollment jobs, immunization checks, duplicate-student reviews, extract health checks, and similar automations. Pro includes 2,500 monthly PSUG Credits, one k-12.cloud automation environment, and Workflows to review results. Automation is not an unattended takeover of the SIS.

Problems this service addresses

The same export is rebuilt every night by a person
Roster files and health checks fail silently when the person who owns the script is out.
Automation exists, but results are hard to audit
Districts need to see what ran, what it found, and who approved the next step.
Tools are treated as the whole product
n8n, plugins, and APIs are implementation details. Districts buy an operating model with approval, not a tutorial site.

District authorization
Connecting PowerSchool, installing a plugin, or enabling a workflow requires district administrator action. Credentials stay in the authorized environment. Public questions still must omit PII.
Role of agents
Agents monitor workflow results, alert authorized staff, and open tickets when a job needs a person. They do not enable new production workflows without permission.
Role of authorized humans
District staff choose which automations run. Pros and partners implement or repair workflows. Approvers decide when a result should change SIS data.

Direct and regional-partner delivery

Automation is available on direct Pro and Advisor plans. Regional partners can offer pre-built workflows as a service. Documentation for n8n exists as an integration guide; it is not the public definition of PSUG.pro.
