State reporting services

State reporting readiness for PowerSchool SIS.

State reporting services on PSUG.pro help a district prepare earlier: calendars, validation checks, exception summaries, and human review before a file is submitted. PSUG.pro does not submit official state collections on the district’s behalf unless a separately scoped engagement says so, and it does not replace the state’s system or PowerSchool’s state-reporting product.

Problems this service addresses

Requirements change during the window
Collection rules, validations, and calendar dates shift while SIS staff are already running schools.
Errors appear too late
Districts discover missing fields or mismatched codes after a dry-run or after a state reject.
Regional knowledge is uneven
PIMS, MARSS, EMIS, and other state processes are not interchangeable. Generic AI answers are not a state file.

Concrete deliverables

  • Reporting-window reminders when a calendar is configured
  • Validation workflows that flag issues for review
  • Readiness summaries a human can act on
  • Optional State Reporting Module for deeper seasonal support
  • Routing to a regional partner when that partner owns state expertise
  • No implied certification as a state education-department vendor
District authorization
Access to reporting pages, extracts, and student-level data requires district authorization. Reviewers approve what is corrected in PowerSchool. PSUG.pro does not bypass district data-governance rules.
Role of agents
The State Reporting Agent, when enabled on Advisor, watches configured timelines, surfaces validation issues, and prepares reminder tickets. It does not certify a collection as ready.
Role of authorized humans
District data managers, a designated Advisor, or a configured regional partner interpret state rules, approve corrections, and own the official submission.

Direct and regional-partner delivery

PSUG.pro can provide readiness tooling and review directly. Regional partners often hold the state-specific practice. The directory and partner pages only claim a geography when that partner is actually configured or independently sourced.

Prepare reporting windows with a review trail

Use agents for reminders and exceptions. Keep official submission with authorized district staff.
