Meet Kaelon Egan
From helping teachers fix computers to building for SIS teams
Kaelon has always been an engineer at heart—a first-principles builder who started young by helping teachers with technology. That work turned into a decade inside Mt. Lebanon School District, where he saw how administrative burden quietly pulls educators away from students.
He founded AccelaSchool to digitize forms and data collection for districts nationwide, then joined PowerSchool after the acquisition. Six years as a VP across professional services and product development put him in the middle of the same community psug.pro is designed to serve: SIS administrators, data managers, registrars, and district technologists who need practical help fast.
Today he builds Solo—an agentic operating layer for accountable automation—and products like reply.school and psug.pro. The mission stays simple: not to replace educators, but to give them time back.

2003
Started with teachers
While still at Mt. Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh, Kaelon started IT Diagnostics—helping local teachers and community members with technology so they could stay focused on students.
2003–2013
Inside a school district
A decade in Mt. Lebanon School District’s IT department meant working side-by-side with educators and administrators—seeing how paperwork, systems, and support load pull people away from teaching and student care.
2013–2019
Built for districts nationwide
He founded AccelaSchool (Ecollect) to digitize enrollment, athletics, and forms work that used to live on paper. The company grew to serve districts across 40+ states—still rooted in the same educator pain points.
2019–2025
PowerSchool community, up close
AccelaSchool was acquired by PowerSchool. As VP of Professional Services and Product Development, Kaelon led 60+ people across services, support, product, engineering, and operations—learning how SIS teams actually get work done.

psug.pro exists for the PowerSchool educators and SIS professionals Kaelon came up with: faster answers, practical workflows, vetted Pros, and tools that respect privacy and the reality of district work.
